How to Select Your Site in Cascade

If you have already completed Cascade training and you have a live asset with which to work, please follow along using your real asset. If you are using this guide for practice, please always use the _playground site. Yes, it starts with an underscore. It is a test site specifically meant for practicing.

Follow these steps to learn how to select a site in Cascade.

Step 1

Site Selector

Click the site selector bar. It will drop down, presenting a list of all available sites on the sandiego.edu domain.

Step 2

Filter List

Using the practice example for the _playground site, type _play (don't forget the underscore at the beginning!) to begin filtering the list. If you were working on your actual site, this is where you would type that site in. However, for training practice, always use the _playground site.

Step 3

Select Site

From the filtered list, click on the correct site. In this example, this is _playground.

Step 4

Site Folder

The site folder will automatically be selected and displays its content in the workspace. Remember to select your site when working on live content and select the _playground site for all practice work or when following along with training videos.
